This will be the 5th year that US Club Soccer will be conducting a PDP Camp in Hawai`i PDP Camps. This is a locally based identification and development program -conducted under US Club Soccer’s id² Program umbrella. The MJL and VIYSL (Maui) will be hosting the camps in October 2019. The USCS Hawaiʻi State Cup is a designated Player Development Program (PDP) scouting event, under US Club Soccer’s id² Program umbrella. USCS and US Soccer National Scouts have been in attendance at the USCS Hawaii State Cups, observing and scouting players to be invited to the Hawaii PDP camps.
Players selected at the 2019 USCS Hawaii State Cup, along with others that have been scouted throughout the MJL seasons, have been invited to this year's Hawaii PDP Camps, October 10 & 11 on Oahu and Oct 8 & 9 on Maui.
On October 10 and 11, 2019, training sessions and internal competitions shall be conducted by id² Program Director, Gerry McKeown & Tricia Taliaferro, along with New Zealand coaching staff Valerio Raccuglia and MJL Staff Coaches. At the camp, participants will have the opportunity to play with and against some of the islands’ top talent, while being scouted for potential inclusion in an id² Training Camp held in Casa Grande, Arizona (meals, lodging, and training gear provided at no cost). At id² Training Camps, U.S. Soccer staff will be on-site to scout players for potential U.S. National Team inclusion.
The USCS Hawaii PDP Camps are FREE to the participating players
Any club’s Director of Coaching is able to recommend players with national team potential for inclusion at an id2/PDP Training Camp.
