MISO Open Divisions

MISO currently offers three Divisions in the open age group, offering three different levels of competitions, Div I, Div II and Div III.

Div I:
This Division is geared to help provide a plataform to those seeking playing at a higher level. In it you'll find the most competitive players on the island. It features a mixture of current and former collegiate players, the top high school players, and even some former professionals. This is the most copmetitive Division in the State of Hawaii.

Div II:   This Division offers competitive soccer at a step below Division I. Most teams compete with the goal of earning promotion to Div I.

Div III:   This Division is a little more relaxed than the other two, but still competitive among the teams composing it.

Teams interested in joining MISO should first complete a New Team Application Form and submit it to the League to be reviewed or kept on file if no openings are available at the time. Although first come, first served is often used as one of the criterias when selecting a team to enter the League, it is not the only criteria used during the selection process. The League also looks at the quality of the organization or team management skills, as well as strength and attitude of the applying team and/or its players, provided they have past history in the League or other Leagues in the State.
